Special 26
With the successful passage of the 26th constitutional amendment, another chapter has been added to the glorious history of democracy in Pakistan. In addition to providing massive relief to the incumbent hybrid government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif (so far), the 26th constitutional amendment has also removed any such looming threats to the government’s existence. Given the imminent change of guard at the apex court, the genie of the judiciary has already been trapped in the bottle for the nation’s greater interest, of course. However, the amendment feat has left many anticipating more in the pipeline that might come with the change of a new prime minister and even more cosmetic changes, paving the way for the powers that be to easily recruit like-minded stooges at the helm of affairs and putting in new drastic measures to make an IMF-run country look like a tinpot banana republic with no sign of stopping.
No End to Israeli Brutalities
The First World stands with Israel no matter what. Those who tend to live in a fool’s paradise and firmly believe in the proven human rights records of the Western powers can now better see how the West is hell-bent on supporting a murderous regime called Israel, a country that cannot continue its killing spree without the full backing of the most civilized nations of the world. At least one thing is quite clear: As long as Muslims are dying, the global powers that be will not move an inch, let alone launch any military action against Israel.
World At Its Worst!
Airing on Green Entertainment, the new TV serial ‘Dunyapur’ does not look like a family show, bordering on an action-packed film in place of a piece for family entertainment. A hodgepodge of Hollywood-inspired productions made earlier, ‘Dunyapur’ has also crossed all limits with its insipid plotline, which is bereft of anything worth considering for the TV audience. The star-studded cast has nothing new to offer. Piggybacking on the likes of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mexico,’ the show is primarily aimed at achieving overnight fame and commercial success at the expense of quality entertainment.
