Ill Intentions

India is keen on maintaining good relations with the big powers only and is the root cause of unrest in South Asia with a latent desire to establish its hegemony in the region.

India is an aggressive country and since the fanatics, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, grabbed the country's power, the situation has worsened further. The main reason behind the recent border tension between China and India is due to New Delhi's miscalculations and expansionist ambitions.

Of late, China dismissed the Indian external affairs minister’s remarks about the China-India border conflict and said that the responsibility for the border conflict rested with the Indian side.

“As to the China-India relationship, the merits of the matters are very clear and responsibility does not rest with China,” Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said during his regular briefing in response to Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar comments about China-India relations. The Indian External Affairs Minister, during his visit to Australia, criticized China’s economic activities towards Australia. Separately, he mentioned the clash between India and China on the border had been discussed during the Quad meetings. Another time, he blamed China for the ongoing border conflict. The spokesperson said, “On the ins and outs of the China-Australia relationship, we already talked a lot about that on different occasions. I am not going into details.”

He, however, rejected S. Jaishankar's remarks on China-India relations and border conflicts and said that the responsibility for the border conflicts between the two countries rested with the Indian side. “Now, the two sides are in communication on improving the border management and the measures to build trust, we hope the Indian side will abide by our agreements, do not issue irresponsible remarks, and uphold the peace and tranquility along the border region with concrete actions,” he added.

In response to a question about amassing troops along with the disputed areas in disregard to the agreements between the two countries, he said, “On the border issue, China always maintains that we should follow through on treaties and agreements we signed and we jointly uphold peace and tranquility at the border region.”

Wang Wenbin hoped the two sides would continue to maintain communication through military and diplomatic channels to resolve the outstanding issues. China and India have been locked in a border standoff since May 2020 and several rounds of military and diplomatic talks have only resulted in partial disengagement of troops from friction points.

As a matter of fact, India is a trouble creator and has spoiled relations with all its neighbours. With Bangladesh, India has border, ethnic, and trade disputes. With Myanmar, border, territorial, immigrant, and trade disputes have damaged the relationship between two neighbours. Nepal, a landlocked country, is blackmailed by India frequently even to the extent of grabbing its territory. Recently, tensions have once again risen to a high level between both countries and escalation may happen. Bhutan has virtually become an Indian colony and excessive interference in Bhutan’s internal affairs has raised serious concerns. India's enmity with Pakistan is eternal and since the inception of Pakistan, India has not recognized the creation of a separate country, thus creating problems to make Pakistan a failed state. Kashmir is a core issue between the two countries and remains a big hurdle to normalizing the relations between them. With Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Indian expansionist intentions and too much interference in their domestic politics have spoiled their relationship further.

India is keen on maintaining good relations with big powers only and is the root cause of unrest in the whole region with a latent desire to establish its hegemony, which is neither permissible by the UN Charter nor accepted by the regional nations.

PM Modi’s policies are more aggressive, harming regional peace, stability, and security situations of the region. While China is sticking to its policy of peaceful developments and helping all its neighbours in the process of peaceful developments, India could not digest and tried to de-track the process of regional developments and initiated border escalation along the actual line of control with China.

The Chinese leadership is smart and sensible, although it can teach a bitter lesson to India, but  China is showing much restraint by trying its best to avert any misadventure. China believes in peaceful co-existence with all its neighbours and promotes friendly relations with all. India instigates it's all neighbours for unrest and disruption. The international community must understand India's evil intentions and bring it to justice.
