Tightening Screws

Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie’s interview with The Associated Press that the U.S. will keep 2500 troops in Iraq for the foreseeable future has overjoyed Hugh Hewitt of the Hugh Hewitt Show, a conservative radio talk show host. He has invited D.R. “Don” Nuttsukker, founder and president of the Society for Advancement of Conservative Values, as discussant.

After speedily introducing his guest, Hewitt starts the conversation, “Don, surely we agree with Gen. McKenzie’s revelation that out troops will continue to be in Iraq indefinitely.”

“Hugh, that’s right. I am only concerned about the numbers. Do you know that Iraq has 41 million people? Marines or Seals or whatever but just 2500 of our men to confront 41 million! Of course, much better than leaving zero in Afghanistan… but… Hugh, these 41 million are Muslim, except may a handful of Christians.”

“You are right, Don. And Iraq has the world's fifth-largest proven oil reserves, with 140 billion barrels... like 9% of world’s total oil reserves.”

“Hugh, again you are right. And they have no business controlling oil, which is equivalent to 457 times of their annual consumption. After our greatest president after Ronald Reagan, you need to give credit to George W. Bush. Yes, Iraq had hidden weapons… that is their excessive oil reserve. Imagine, Saddam was still on top and shutting off oil!

“Now here is what good Bush did. He got rid of Saddam, got the trigger off oil… electric vehicles aren’t coming tomorrow… Smart as President Bush is, he took advantage of Iraq's natural resources being 100% state-owned. So now the state-owned enterprise sells oil and gas on behalf and 95% of oil and gas revenues are deposited in the UN-mandated Development Fund for Iraq… and where… at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.”

“Don that is great! I need to apologize to George Bush when I started hating him when he didn’t stand with President Trump just because he beat his little brother, Jeb. So, like we have in Afghanistan when their reserves, the $9 billion they claim to have, are in safe hands… the New York Federal Reserve.”

“Hugh, you can’t trust Muslims with their own money…

“Don, of course, never!”

“I hope that the troops report comes out true. Hugh, you know McKenzie has headed U.S. Central Command for nearly three years and has traveled extensively throughout the region. If it was my way, I would be having 25,000 troops…”

“Don, you are right. We are discomforting Americans for the Iraqis’ comfort, and Iraq won’t need going through much hassle. The New Federal Reserve can transfer the costs to U.S. Federal Reserve.”

“Hugh, wisely, we are keeping our troops in Syria too. I would say we should be there permanently. Syria has more than 2.5 billion barrels of oil reserves. We can’t trust those Arabs with such strategic stuff. Why do they need all that oil though?”

“Don, in November, Biden released 50 million barrels of oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Do you think, President Trump would have weakened our strategic reserves?”

“Hugh, yes, why… like President Trump told Saudi king that he won’t last two weeks without us, Biden should have made them fill our oil need. So are we having 5,000 troops in Saudi Arabia for what! We leave Afghanistan without securing their mineral rights for our mining companies. We draw oil from our reserves!

“All right. But Biden doing some good too. Like he is tightening screws around Pakistan. Like the Pakistani currency is floundering. Perhaps you may not remember that on September 16, 1992, George Soros broke the British pound, and pocketed $1 billion by betting against it. The pressure forced the British government to exit the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) by removing its currency from that agreement. Joining the ERM was part of their effort to help the unification of the European economies. And now Conservatives took Britain out of the European Union.

“Pakistan too is to get more dose of pain. You know they refused us parking space for our jets and drones. We can’t let any Muslim off our hook. Iran is suffering and Biden is intelligently working with Israel to inflict more pain. We missed the Pakistan opportunity and let them get away with their nuclear program but not again… Iran won’t be let do it. We can’t trust Muslims with their freedom.”
