Chinese National Day

China was liberated on 1st of October 1949, and every year on this day, the National Day of the People's Republic of China is celebrated. This year, the National Day is celebrated with high spirit as it has already emerged a global power and enjoys a better standard of life. Chinese people have much higher purchasing power and better infrastructure. It is one of the most safe country to live, with lowest rate of murder, looting, robbery, like crimes. A women with gold and jewelry can walk at mid night without any fear. Law and order situation is much better than many other countries in the world.

Men and Women enjoys equal rights and equal social status. The state of the art health care is accessible to everyone. Education is popular and literacy rate is much higher than many other developed countries. The life expectancy is among top few countries in the world.

It has made marvelous progress in the last four decades, and there is no similar example in the human history anywhere in the world. It was possible by only hard work of Chinese people and visionary leadership, who has provided people friendly, incentive based policies and conducive environment. Meritocracy played vital role in Chinese developments.

In 1980, the poverty rate was around 88%, and toady, absolute poverty has been illuminated already and established a moderate prosper society. China has lifted around 800 million people from the poverty line. It is the only country, which met Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) set by the UN, well in advance. Its achievements are not only acknowledged and admired, but also replicating in other countries as basic guidelines and role model.

It is fighting against corruption and has already overcome to a major extent. President Xi, announced a drive against corruption just after taking charge of his office and till date has achieved several milestones. Pakistan Prime Mister Imran Khan has mentioned Chinese example of fight against poverty and corruption in his maiden speech in 2018.

Chinese victory over COVID-19, is a best example for the whole world and serves as guidelines. China was the first country fell victim of COVID-19, but the visionary leadership and brave public jointly overcame it and faced minimum causalities. China is sharing its experience and extending full support to rest of world to fight against COVID-19. Chinese Vaccine gained international popularity as no evidence of reaction or side effect has been reported yet. China made its Vaccine as a public good and donating generously.

China launched mega initiative of Belt and Road (BRI), worth trillions of dollars, and already more than a hundred countries are beneficiary of this initiative. Pakistan being the closet friend, is also largest beneficiary of BRI in the shape of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The Fruits of CPEC are already ripe and people of Pakistan are enjoying it in the form of no load shedding, and extensive network of roads in the length and breadth of the country. Jobs have been created under CPEC and an economic boost was witnessed due to CPEC. For the ailing economy of Pakistan, CPEC is serving like Oxygen.

Chinese people are hard working and humble. Soft spoken and friendly by nature. Chinese wisdom and soft power was instrumental in the rapid development of China. They love their country and leadership and in return Government takes good care of its citizenship and considers total welfare for all.

China is also known as world factory and manufacture almost everything. Chinese exports are dominating in the international trade. China enjoys trade surplus with most of the countries. However, China is also one of the largest importer simultaneously.

Politically, it maintains a very balanced foreign policy and have not involved in confrontation or a major battle or war with any other country for almost four decades. China believes in diplomacy and sort out solutions to all disputes and difference through dialogue. Chinese love peace and wanted to co-exist with other nations in harmony.

With Pakistan, a unique friendship exists and can be reflected by many ways. The cooperation between two brotherly nations is growing rapidly and encompasses almost all sectors of economy. Government to Government relations are excellent and often quoted in international relations as role model. People to people relations are also expanding, especially, after the launch of CPEC, the interaction between the two nation has enhance drastically. Almost 30,000 Pakistani youth are studying in various Chinese Universities in various specialization. These students are the best mode of cultural exchange. They promote Pakistani culture while studying in China and on return back to Pakistan, promote China knowledge and awareness among Pakistanis. These students are vital for CPEC projects, as they know their language, culture, ethics, and customs. They are force to engage Chinese entrepreneurs in Pakistan positively.

People of Pakistan are proud of Chinese developments and achievements. Availing of this opportunity, let us congratulate our Chinese brothers and sisters on the occasion of National Day. Wish China may prosper and strengthen further.
