Perfect Poise

South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo is an international name, especially in the genre of television and films as well as in fashions. She started as a model but her poise and looks took her to the top of the celebrity list in South Korea. The stylish actress plays a fashion designer in Now, We Are Breaking Up, where she rocks a Fendi’s Mon Tresor bucket bag and a Sulwhasoo essential lip serum stick.

Candy Man

Miftah Ismail is in charge of Pakistan’s hungry millions these days. As the country’s finance minister, he may have never thought of the role before, especially when he was studying for his Ph.D at Wharton, but this is what fate is. He has served on the Boards of PIA and SSGC and his family makes and sells candy. Miftah sahib may have wanted his candies to have wider sales base but all that he sees these days is burning rickshaws.

Bad Day

Ayesha Ghaus Pasha probably loves being a state minister for finance in the Shahbaz Sharif government but is at her wit’s end explaining to the people why there is too much taxation around and why prices of all goods and services are hitting the skies. Having an economist husband - Dr. Hafeez Pasha - a good thing or bad? For her, a bad day at the office is a bad day at home too!

Good Stories

Film-making is a composite art and it has lacked in talent in all departments in the country. Comes along writer Syed Noor but he has never had much to back his good stories. The result is that TV scripts are passed off as films and a proper Pakistani film industry is nowhere in sight.
